Petersen's disappointing season and Quick's age have me wondering if Blake and co. will pick a goalie relatively early next month. I imagine that they have to be a little concerned about their future net situation. Even if Petersen rebounds, a year like this could happen again and they won't have Quick to save their bacon forever. You don't want him to get into his 30s and not have a promising goalie replacement waiting in the wings. I don't necessarily mean using the 19OA on a goalie (though Vasilevskiy was taken 19OA), but maybe a late 2nd or 3rd (where Quick was taken). Also taking one or two in the later rounds as lottery tickets (Shesterkin was a 4th rounder) wouldn't be a bad idea, either. They're pretty well stocked at forward and defense, anyways.

I'm all for the Kings drafting a goalie or two - arguably the one part of their prospect pool that's lacking. Too bad this is the year that seemingly doesn't really have any top goaltending prospects.

Kings have a few Goalie prospects. We shall see if any of them can prove anything soonish.
